A world of neighborly service habits
The mission
In an era where the role of Christendom is evolving, we recognize that our call to love our neighbors remains as vital as ever. The story of the Good Samaritan not only teaches us about compassion but also inspires us to act in our communities. Imagine a world where every church embraces a dynamic, multi-skilled, vibrant service ministry. This could restore the centrality of the Church and ignite a renaissance of faith. While large volunteer organizations do important work, there's a growing need to address smaller, more localized service opportunities. ServeYourNeighbors.com makes it easy to discover ways to serve your actual neighbors and to share needs within your community. Envision a community where our phones become tools of connection, alerting us to neighborly needs that we can fulfill easily. In the Age of Information, the challenge isn’t just global connectivity; it's about forging meaningful connections in our own neighborhoods. Our culture, increasingly drawn into the solitary realms of social media, faces a crisis of atomization. Yet, the same technology that lures us into isolation can be repurposed to foster community and service. ServeYourNeighbors.com is committed to using technology for good, transforming our digital interactions into real-world neighborly service. We believe in a future where serving others is a natural part of our daily lives, creating a stronger, more compassionate community.

- Matthew 25:35-40 - "For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me..."
- John 13:34-35 - "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another."
- 1 Peter 4:10 - "Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms."
- James 2:14-17 - "What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds?"
- Hebrews 13:16 - "And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased."
Who is building this?
Meet the Founder, Winfred Wolfgram:
Hello, I'm Winfred, a software engineer and a devoted Christian. My journey to creating ServeYourNeighbors.com began when I moved to rural America and realized the difficulty in identifying those in need of help, especially on nights and weekends.
My local church, although small and with limited resources, is filled with individuals eager to serve. This platform is my way of making service opportunities easily accessible to them and potentially to other service groups in surrounding towns.
My Journey and Vision
I've nurtured the dream of founding a web startup since 2009, with various ventures along the way. My professional background in growth engineering includes pivotal roles at Hired.com and currently at aha.io. These experiences have given me insights into the lifecycle of ventures - scaling, failing, and succeeding. With God's guidance, I am committed to making this platform a tool for service and connection in His name.
Why a Non-Profit?
ServeYourNeighbors.com is more than a platform; it's a mission to foster a life transformation strategy that can be handed down through generations. By adopting a non-profit model, we ensure sustainability and independence from the constraints of traditional business models. This approach allows us to focus on serving God's Kingdom, supported by the contributions and commitments of churches and individuals who believe in our cause.
An Invitation to Collaborate
This is not just my mission – I want to hear your service story and see it grow. Whether you're a software maker, a church leader, or someone passionate about community service, there's a place for you in this mission. Together, we can build a platform that strengthens our ability to serve and connect with our neighbors. If you're interested in collaborating in any capacity, please reach out to me at winfred@serveyourneighbors.com.
A final prayer
Father in Heaven I pray that we will witness the wonders of God through a renaissance of service and faith in Jesus Christ. To God alone be the glory.
